Austa & Wyatt Burks
July 30,2022
Austa and Wyatt Burks were married at Hayes House on July 30, 2022.
Their style? – Rustic can be oh so… softly elegant!
With the barn doors wide open, the sunshine-filled July wedding had a spectacular backdrop of the lush trees to frame the wedding alter canopy and the wedding party.
Austa planned her wedding knowing that July could be steamy! Her spaghetti strap mermaid dress and the halter soft green gray of the bridesmaids brought summer gently into the venue, lending elegance to the barn wedding.
The Groom balanced her elegance with style in a gray suit jacket button down white shirt, picking up the wedding green accent color in the ties.
The matching bouquets of the Bride and Bridesmaids were picked up in the Groom and Groomsmen’s boutonnieres.
The Bride and her Bridesmaids prepared for the wedding in matching dressing outfits for hairstyling and makeup.
The Bride chose to open the barn doors entirely allowing a breeze and a stunning summer greenery backdrop for the wedding party. She added logs topped with fresh flowers brought by family and friends to decorate the rows of benches in the barn and bringing the chandelier elegance to the straw floor.
The Bride included family in many touches of the wedding. Her ring, being a family piece, but also recognizing the marriages on both sides of the family with a display of wedding portraits.
The Main Event Space became an elegant dining space & the outdoor awning provided for gracious and beautiful seating adjacent to the main building. The Bride & Groom table was set in front of the stone chimney inside the event space.
Surrounded by their Attendants, the attire of the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen can be seen. The Bride’s dress and bouquet are seen in the photo to the right as Austa poses beneath the main chandelier of the Barn. Also seen are the fresh flowers and the logs used as tables in the barn.
The Bride & Groom send off from Hays House shows them leaving in a cascade of bubbles provided by the wedding guests.
The Father of the Bride walked her down the aisle wearing matching attire to the Groom.
The couple chose a two tier wedding cake with two lower tiers of cupcakes and surrounded it with trays of cupcakes and a semi-circle of cupcakes. The main cake is decorated with roses. The cake stanchion is crafted of wood tiers, created by the Bride.
The couple made use of the entire Hayes House estate, using the historic Hayes House as a dressing area for the Bridal party. The couple used the property beyond the barn for guest spaces and made use of the awning for outdoor seating during the reception.
